PM NGIRENTE ADDRESSED THE 2ND MEETING OF THE 2nd SESSION OF THE 5TH EAST AFRICAN LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY
Kigali, November 29, 2023— On behalf of H.E President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente addressed the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the fifth East African Legislative Assembly sitting. This ceremony took place in the premises of Rwandan Parliament.
In his keynote address, Prime Minister commended the legislative achievements the East African Legislative Assembly has made in enabling a stronger regional integration process.
He noted that timely and effective implementation of EAC Projects and Programs is a priority and that it will boost intra-EAC trade, competitiveness and ease of doing business across the region.
Prime Minister also revealed the urgent need to find sustainable financing mechanisms to offset EAC’s budgetary and funding constraints.
He concluded his address by reiterating the commitment of the Government of Rwanda to the EAC integration process.
