PM NGIRENTE PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT GOVERNMENT’S ACTIONS RELATED TO DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND PREVENTION
Kigali, 30 June 2023: As provided for by the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda, Prime Minister, Dr. Edouard Ngirente, presented to the Rwandan Parliament, both Chambers, Government of Rwanda’s actions related to government actions related to disaster management and prevention.
Prime Minister depicted the status of disasters across the globe and at national level.
The Premier outlined some of the government’s actions and plans for preventing, mitigating and managing disasters.
Particularly, he pointed out how the Government has helped those affected by the disasters that mainly hit parts of the Western and Northern Province of Rwanda.
Prime Minister also revealed more interventions that the Government has undertaken to improve the welfare of those affected by the recent disasters, and plans that are there to mitigate them in the future.
