Prime Minister attended the 11th Regional Oversight Mechanism Summit
Bujumbura, May 6, 2023---On behalf of President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente attended the High-Level Meeting of the Regional Oversight Mechanism of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Region.
This Summit took place at the Kiriri Palace in Bujumbura, Burundi, and was hosted by President Évariste Ndayishimiye of the Republic of Burundi and the current Chair of Regional Oversight Mechanism (ROM).
Four other Heads of State from South Africa, Central African Republic, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) also attended the Summit.
The opening Ceremony of the Summit was graced by the presence of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. António Guterres and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, among other dignitaries.
