Prime Minister hosted participants and organisers of the 2025 UCI Road World Championships
Kigali, October 03, 2025---Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva hosted a reception at the Kigali Convention Center to thank the participants and organisers of the 2025 UCI Road World Championships.
In his brief remarks, the Prime Minister began by expressing heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, President Paul Kagame, whose visionary leadership made it possible for Rwanda to host this historic event.
He went on to acknowledge all those who contributed to the success of the Championships—from institutions and organisers to partners and the broader community—emphasizing that this was more than a sporting event. It was a celebration of Rwanda’s ambition, capacity, and world-class hospitality.
The Prime Minister also congratulated the Rwandan cycling team for their commendable performance and praised them for inspiring the next generation of athletes.
He reaffirmed the Government of Rwanda’s continued commitment to investing in infrastructure that supports the growth of cycling and other sports across the country.
