Prime Minister Ngirente attended the Global Gateway Forum 2023
Brussels, October 25-26, 2023 - Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente represented President Paul Kagame at the Global Gateway Forum 2023 in Brussels, Belgium, organized by the European Commission.
On the first day of the forum, he delivered a keynote speech as part of a panel discussion on Education and Research. He shared Rwanda’s experience in transforming the education landscape with participants.
On the sidelines of this forum, he met with Amina Jane Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, to discuss the partnership between the Government of Rwanda and the United Nations.
On the second day of the forum, he joined a health product manufacturing session and shared Rwanda’s initiative of setting up an African Biomanufacturing Institute to address the shortage of skills in bio-manufacturing on the continent.
He also met with Jutta Urpilainen, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, to discuss how to strengthen partnership between Rwanda and European Union.
During this meeting, a financing agreement was signed to scale up Early Childhood Development program in Rwanda.
