Prime Minister Ngirente commissioned officer cadets in the Rwanda Correctional Service
Rwamagana, June 18, 2024--- On behalf of President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente commissioned 166 Officer Cadets to the rank of Assistant Inspector in the Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS).
This ceremony took place at Rwanda Correctional Service Training School in Rwamagana District, Eastern Province.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Ngirente congratulated the newly commissioned officer cadets and thanked them for the courage and commitment demonstrated during the training.
The Premier emphasized to the commissioned officer cadets that, while fulfilling their duties of ensuring the safety and security of inmates, they should also maintain integrity, discipline, professionalism, and uphold the positive image of the Rwanda Correctional Services (RCS).
The Prime Minister commended the Rwanda Correctional Service for its efforts in promoting literacy within correctional facilities and offering vocational and educational training to inmates.
In his closing remarks, he assured the Rwanda Correctional Service that the Government of Rwanda remains committed to providing unwavering support, ensuring that RCS can effectively fulfill its mandate.
