Prime Minister Ngirente officiated the Launch of the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFS Forum) Summit 2024
Kigali, March 26, 2024—Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente officiated the launch of the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFS Forum) Summit 2024. This Ceremony took place at Kigali Convention Center.
In his keynote address, Prime Minister emphasized that Rwanda is pleased to host the Africa Food System Forum and remains committed to playing its role in advancing the agenda for the transformation of African agriculture.
He shared with participants some insights that can shape the transformation of Africa’s food systems. In this regard, he focused on the need to implement bold and ambitious policies and strategies in creating an environment conducive to private sector investments.
Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of de-risking the agriculture sector by promoting digital technology and innovation in order to attract more youth in this sector.
He concluded by welcoming to Rwanda, all the delegates to the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFS Forum) Summit that will take place, in September this year.
