Prime Minister Ngirente participated in the Economic Development Assembly
Abidjan, October 10--- Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente represented His Excellency President Paul Kagame at the Economic Development Assembly, organized by Global Citizen and Bridgewater in partnership with the Government of Côte d'Ivoire.
This inaugural Assembly was organized under the theme of “Advancing Africa’s Future”. It was aimed at mobilizing more resources to support the World Bank’s IDA21 replenishment.
Prime Minister participated in a presidential panel that also featured Heads of State from Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau, as well as the Prime Minister of Togo.
The leaders on this panel underscored the importance of IDA21 replenishment for Africa's development and shared their countries' experiences with IDA support.
Prime Minister shared Rwanda’s positive experiences with IDA in various sectors such as energy, education, and health, stressing the need for a stronger IDA to continue supporting Africa’s development.
