Prime Minister Ngirente presided over the official launch of FEDA office in Rwanda
Kigali, March 24, 2024—On behalf of H.E President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente officiated the launch of the Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA) office in Kigali.
In his address, Prime Minister revealed that the establishment of FEDA office in Rwanda attests the strong partnership between the Government of Rwanda and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).
He commended FEDA’s role in addressing obstacles that impede the effective implementation of the intra-African trade by providing vital financial and technical assistance on activities that promote and facilitate intra-African trade.
The Premier also called upon FEDA to invest in upskilling Rwandans in the financial services sector, and contribute to positioning Rwanda as a financial hub in Africa.
