Prime Minister officiated the launch of the Country Economic Memorandum
Kigali, November 13, 2024---Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente presided over the launch of the Country Economic Memorandum (CEM) report entitled “Pathways to Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Rwanda, in a ceremony held at Park Inn Hotel Kigali.
This report was produced by the Government of Rwanda, in partnership with the World Bank and comes as an updated version of the Future Drivers of Growth report launched in November 2018.
In his address Prime Minister thanked the World Bank for the strong cooperation and long-standing partnership with the Government of Rwanda.
The Premier said that the publication of this report is timely for the Government of Rwanda and revealed that its preliminary findings have informed the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2).
He also commended the efforts put into producing this analytical study and underscored the importance of the policy recommendations proposed in this report, insisting that they will serve as a guide in implementing the necessary reforms towards realizing Rwanda’s national transformational agenda.
Prime Minister concluded his address by emphasizing the Government’s commitment to continue addressing the identified and emerging challenges, in close collaboration with all partners.
