Prime Minister officiated the opening of the 43rd Annual General Meeting and Symposium of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank
Kigali, June 11, 2024--- On behalf of His Excellency Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente officiated the opening of the 43rd Annual General Meeting and Symposium of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank, taking place in Kigali Marriot Hotel from 11-13 June 2024.
In his keynote address, Prime Minister started by thanking Shelter Afrique Member States for nominating Rwanda as the host of this year’s General Meeting.
Prime Minister underscored the critical role of urbanization and accessible housing in the socio-economic development of Africa.
However, he revealed that informal housing remains a challenge on the Continent. To address this challenge, Prime Minister, highlighted the importance of Public-Private Partnerships in promoting housing affordability.
The Premier concluded by calling for the optimization of this partnership, effective collaboration, and the creation of sustainable housing solutions.
